Daydreaming
There is a saying that goes something like this. If you want to know where your heart truly is, take notice of where your mind goes when it wanders, daydreaming.
Daydreaming is so beneficial it gets a bad rap, it gets the name lazy. When you sit back, you put your feet up, you close your eyes, you let your mind wander. People will tell you or accuse you of being lazy very often. But daydreaming is not lazy. When you Daydream in a positive manner, you will see how much your creativity improves, the things that your brain will tell you, your true, your true heart will come forward when you take the time to daydream. And when you take the time to journal those dreams, it's even more powerful. I call it brain dumping.
A lot of people call it brain dumping. I didn't come up with that phrase by myself. Brain dumping is daydreaming, taking time with a journal to write out everything that is your in your brain, taking the time to jot it all down, not just thinking about it, but taking the time to write it out in detail on paper. And then going back through and starting to highlight the things that stand out to you the most of the things that you that just make your soul light on fire. When your heart and mind tell you when you Daydream when you brain dump and you start writing those things down. Those are a message from your soul to your life. daydreaming in a positive manner, all the things that are possible. And in a daydream, everything is possible when your brain dumping everything is possible. Everything is possible. Grab yourself a journal and a pen and just start to write whatever is in your brain, let your brain lead the pen to your paper, not the opposite your brain or your pen isn't telling your brain what to write. Your brain is literally just all those all those little Synopsys and impulses, they're all traveling down your arm into the pen and you've got your paper and you start writing everything that is in your brain, everything, get it all out on paper, no dream is too outlandish, write it all down, then get a highlighter, get a highlighter and start highlighting those things that really jumped out to you. Then take all those things you have highlighted and extrapolate them out. See like that word, my brother used to always use that word, and I just loved it. When he did we would giggle like crazy. He's been gone. We lost him to cancer 11 years ago. And every time I use the word extrapolate, I can still hear him saying it and then the laughter that came after it because we thought it was such a cool sounding word extrapolate just take some time to say that, in fact, when you're daydreaming, use the word extrapolate.
Okay, so you're gonna write your dreams down, you're going to daydream like crazy on paper, then you're going to go back with a highlighter, and you're going to highlight the things that really stick out to you, then you're going to extrapolate them to a new piece of paper, start writing down those things that really popped out to you. And then on another piece of paper, put one at the top of each page and start writing down things that you can do someone you can ask questions of, maybe one of them is I'd really love to open a coffee shop. Maybe underneath of that you know somebody or you know, somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who owns a coffee shop, or you can go into your favorite coffee shop and say, do you have a half hour I could pick your brain with the owner. Or maybe you go in and you say, I'd like to work here this week for free. To learn more about your coffee shop. There are there are things you can think of that can get you closer to making that dream that you just wrote down a reality. So you're going to daydream. And then you're going to grab a journal and you're going to start writing all of those things down, then you're going to go back with a highlighter, and you're going to highlight all the things that stuck out to you. Then you're going to take those things you highlighted, extrapolate them to another piece of paper and list them out and then extrapolate them one more time, one at a time, onto the top of a piece of paper and start writing down everything you can think of that will get you closer to that dream, which is now a goal for you. Maybe you know somebody, talk to people, Google information, we have all of this information available to us at our fingertips. We can start there. But I guarantee you you know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody, it doesn't matter how many layers down it is. If you don't ask, you cannot receive anything. Ask people who they know what what do you know about this? Start asking.
I remember reading about an interview that was Done with a very well known person. And the person who was interviewing him said, Wow, what are the chances that I would be interviewing you? And the interviewee said, Well, how many times did you ask? And, and the gentleman doing the interview said, well, just once and he said, that's all it took. Just ask. Ask for what you need. i dream like crazy. That's where your true dreams are sitting. When you Daydream, your mind will bring all those things out onto paper, and then you can start making those dreams are reality. I guarantee you, it's worth it. I guarantee you, it works. And I guarantee you I am your biggest fan. I'll talk to you later.
