Depression and Anxiety with Drew Deraney
I interviewed the wonderful Drew Deraney recently. Drew took on 4 life stressors simultaneously in a concentrated period of time and has come through stronger. Knowing that he could have come through in a healthier and more empowering way if he had a community of like-minded men to lean on, Drew is dedicating his life to empowering mission-driven men to multiply that impact quicker through collaboration and to tap into each other's connections and resources to explode their impact.
We all get knocked down in life, and sometimes the hits just don’t stop coming. How do we get back up?
Look for clarity. Usually this means looking outside of ourselves. It may be your kids, your parents, your friends. These people can provide us with some clarity because they may see things a little differently than us. When we are viewing things as barriers, it is easy to feel defeated and helpless. When your mindset shifts and you see barriers as opportunities instead, that is when you can start taking action and pick yourself up, brush yourself off and keep going.
As you start gathering small wins, you will enhance your self respect, self trust, self love, and self confidence. As that self worth starts to get better, and you start to progress, you will then evolve.
Did you know? 95% of our brain activity is unconscious. That means 5% is conscious. This is why it is important to work on getting rid of bad habits and building good ones. Human beings always fall back on old habits when things go bad. It is important to work on the good ones so when something does go bad, you fall back on newer old habits which are better for you!
