I recently had the pleasure of interviewing the amazing Xaye Faith and Devann Edwards. Xaye and Devann are Global Business Consultants who support entrepreneurs to optimize their businesses through strategic alliances. They are on a mission to empower entrepreneurs to maximize their potential and create a life of Total Freedom. They were so kind to share with us some of their tips to becoming an entrepreneur all while balancing life.
What are some of the reasons someone might want to explore entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship gives us freedom! It gives us a path to personal development to really get to a point to where we can begin to optimize our potential. It creates a way for active learning. We are literally learning as we go. Becoming an entrepreneur pushes your boundaries and gets you out of your comfort zone and trying new things that you didn’t even know were possible!
What is some of the best advice for someone who is considering starting a business or a side hustle?
You don’t have to quit your day job right away! Start your biz while you have income to leverage your dreams. You can have it all!
Business does not have to be done the way business has been done in the past because we are in a new economy. It is time to pivot and try new things!
Take advantage of all of the new innovation and technology to support your entrepreneurial journey.
Perspective is so important when making the choice to become an entrepreneur. It can either devalue or could empower you. It comes down to the choices that you make. The GROW Model is something that is helpful to form a framework to dive deep into your thoughts and then create a plan of action.
G- goal. What are you trying to achieve?
R- reality. What is currently going on?
O-options. What might you do?
W- will. What will you do?
Once you have addressed these things, you can decide if you are ready to GROW!
