Where do we begin with telling our story?
First we need to figure out what you're looking to accomplish. Why this story? Who are you looking to help with that story? How are you going to feel like you have achieved your goal at the end of the process? Sometimes quite often the story people think they want to tell isn't actually the story at all!
What are other reasons that someone would want to get a book out there?
Don't just write a book for the sake of writing a book, make sure that you're going to do it right. If your goal is to attract new business, get that book into the hands of your ideal client avatar. Books are the new business card - but people don’t throw books away!
We don't realize a lot of times how much weight what we say whether it's spoken or written can have on somebody else. Once you say something, you can't unsay it. If you're in a dispute with a client, a relative, a spouse, you should probably listen twice as much as you talk. It is so important to share what we have to offer with the world, but we must be sure we are spending some time thinking it through!
