Are you Being the Baking Soda?

Have you ever put a box of baking soda in your refrigerator?

When you put a box of baking soda in your fridge, the purpose is to absorb all of the odors of the items inside. The result is that the baking soda has to be changed regularly, because it starts to stink like all the things it has absorbed.

So now, I have to ask you, are you being the box of baking soda in your own life? Are you absorbing all those negative thoughts that are coming in? Are you absorbing all the negative comments that are coming in? Are you absorbing the negative moods that are around you?

Negativity is contagious.

The result is that your life starts to show all of those negative things rather than the positivity that you are longing and wanting to embrace. I urge you to stop being the baking soda. Refuse to absorb the negative energy. Maybe it’s a negative thought, maybe it's your own negative energy you're absorbing! What I'm going to ask you to do is acknowledge them and let them float on by. Release them.

Today I challenge you to stop absorbing the negativity! You can not control others, but you can control how you react.
