Journaling and Mindfulness.

Mindfulness is a buzz word these days.

Being mindful of your surroundings can bring a level of deep peace and satisfaction.  Practicing mindfulness keeps you focused on the present - not relieving trauma from the past or stressing about something to come in the future.

So where does journaling fit into that?

The process of writing in a journal, pen to paper, solidifies in your brain the present moment.  You are writing your goals, your desires, your feelings.  This signals to your brain the importance of these things.  Your brain then will seek ways to make it happen.

Enter mindfulness.  Grounding.  And that can improve sleep, reduce stress, help in problem solving, and bring clarity to your goals.

All from picking up a pen, putting it to paper, and journaling your thoughts, emotions, feelings, longings, goals, and desires.

We talked last week about a challenge of 5 minutes a day of journaling for 7 days.

Did you do it?

How did it feel?

I would LOVE your feedback!  Journaling has literally changed my life, changed how I view life, and changed how I attack and achieve my goals.  I know it will do the same for you.

If you need a a great book to dive into mindfulness, tap into Untamed by Glennon Doyle.  I didn’t immediately dive into this practice but I wish I had.  I encourage you to take a deeper look, and continue on your journey of journaling.
